Join us as we take a bipartisan stroll through some of the most riveting political books in recent history in the new podcast

Red, White and Read: The Bipartisan Book Club

Produced and hosted by veteran GOP political consultant Christopher Nicholas, along with Democratic politico Brittany Crampsie as co-host

Veteran political consultants and frequent TV sparring partners Christopher Nicholas and Brittany Crampsie are breaking free from the tight constraints of that medium to launch a vibrant new podcast, Red, White and Read: The Bipartisan Book Club.

The show offers an opinionated, balanced, and humorous deep dive into the books shaping our political and historical landscape.

Hosted by Republican political consultant Christopher Nicholas of Eagle Consulting Group and Democratic consultant Brittany Crampsie of Brit Crampsie Communications, the podcast brings their weekly television chemistry from This Week in Pennsylvania into a compelling long-form audio format.

The podcast operates under a strict, Fight Club-inspired rule: the hosts are not allowed to discuss the chosen book until the microphones start rolling. This mandate ensures that every debate, critique, and disagreement is spontaneous and earnest.

Despite their starkly different political viewpoints and demographics, with Nicholas being a seasoned Republican operative and Crampsie a younger Democratic professional, the hosts leverage their opposing perspectives to break down dense material and highlight core American values in this America250 year.

Premier Episode

The Greatest Sentence Ever Written

In their premier episode, Nicholas and Crampsie dive into The Greatest Sentence Ever Written by acclaimed biographer Walter Isaacson. The episode explores the radical, lasting impact of the second sentence of the Declaration of Independence (We hold these truths to be self-evident...).

Chris and Brittany break down Benjamin Franklin and John Adams' influential edits, historical contradictions regarding early American slavery and women's rights, and even the unique Caslon typeface chosen by Franklin to produce the original printing.

They also tackle Isaacson's modern sociological observations, engaging in a spirited debate over the "skyboxification of America" and the erosion of the shared public commons.

Episode 2

Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign

Episode 2 examines the book, Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign. This was an easier read for Chris and a much tougher read for Brittany, a dedicated Hillary fan girl.
